ANN C. TIGHE. Ann Tighe is a partner at Cotsirilos, Tighe & Streicker specializing in federal criminal defense and complex litigation. Her criminal litigation experience includes cases involving public corruption, mail and wire frauds, commercial and financial frauds, internal corporate investigations, government contracts, environmental crimes, antitrust and securities. She has represented clients in federal and state courts, and in grand jury investigations, throughout the United States.

Ms. Tighe has represented individuals, corporate officers, and corporate clients in a variety of criminal and civil matters. She has substantial expertise in corporate governance matters, having worked on many cases involving the preparation of corporate ethics and compliance programs, especially for small to mid-sized companies seeking to correct or prevent corporate fraud.

Ms. Tighe has been involved in more than 100 appellate cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, including personally arguing more than 20 appeals.

Ms. Tighe has been with Cotsirilos, Tighe & Streicker for more than 25 years. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tighe was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, from 1973 to 1979. During her tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Ms. Tighe was of Chief of the Government Fraud Division (1976-1977), Deputy United States Attorney (1977), and Chief of the Criminal Receiving and Appellate Division (1977-1979). She is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Ms. Tighe received an A.B. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Law Review.
