JAMES R. STREICKER. Jim Streicker is a partner at Cotsirilos, Tighe & Streicker focusing his practice on defending individuals and corporations in white collar criminal cases. He has represented clients in a number of areas including anti-trust, healthcare fraud and abuse, government fraud, securities fraud, environmental, taxation, customs, gaming, internal corporate investigations and SEC investigations and enforcement actions. Mr. Streicker’s clients have included CEOs, CFOs, directors, officers, and executives of major corporations, public officials, partners in professional services firms, commodities traders, labor unions and union officials.

Mr. Streicker spent the first decade of his career in public practice, serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, Deputy Defender in the Illinois Appellate Defender’s Office, and as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. During his tenure in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Streicker was Chief of the Criminal Receiving and Appellate Division. In 1980, he entered private practice, where he has concentrated on federal criminal litigation and investigations. He has lectured on corporate fraud, healthcare fraud and federal sentencing guidelines, and served as an instructor at the John Marshall Law School, the U.S. Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

He is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading white collar criminal attorneys. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Guide to the World’s Leading White Collar Crime Lawyers. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers.

Mr. Streicker earned an A.B. from Miami University and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
